One thing I’ll never understand..

People’s overwhelming desire to sound profound.

Sometimes, especially whilst writing, many try to twist their words and make their phrases sound complicated for the sake of seeming eloquent. When the truth is that anything worth saying can be said simply, and the true depth & virtue of one’s character is found within their actions.

I think what bothers me most is that sometimes people do write very eloquently and have, at times, some pseudo-profound thoughts to share… But they can’t live up to their writing. The person they are trying to represent is not who they are, and I find their writing to be a lie and somewhat insulting, repulsive even. I find these people to be hypocrites and egotistical. I’m probably the only person who takes the time to be frustrated by these things, and I honestly think I am the worst offender… Oh well.
